Edwin Addison Sheldon, Jr. age 79 of Raton passed away on February 1, 2016. He was born on July 15, 1936 in Fairhope, Alabama to the late Edwin and Mildred Sheldon.
Edwin is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Betty Boone.
He is survived by wife M. Amy Evans Sheldon of Raton, Daughters: Mary Sheldon of Temple, TX; Annette Salvatore of Summerdale, Alabama; Theresa Andersen of Summerdale, Alabama; Patty Lee also of Summerdale, Alabama; son Edwin A. Sheldon, III of Barnwell, Alabama; grandchildren: David Kilbourn, Michael Kilbourn, Robert Steven Kilbourn, Edwin A. Sheldon, IV; Alisa Sheldon, and Samuel Salvatore.
Edwin was a scout and leader for the Boy Scouts of America, a member of the National Rifle Association, and a National Guard veteran. He loved to garden, was a wildlife advocate and a plant manager for Vulcan, Inc. in Foley, AL from which he retired.
Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements for Edwin A. Sheldon, Jr. are under the direction of the Alderette Pomeroy Funeral Home of Raton.
