In Loving Memory of Elsie M. Carpenter

Elsie M. Carpenter, age 80, passed away on January 13, 2016 at Mt. San Rafael Hospital.

She was born in Walsh, CO, on May 5, 1935 to Bessie (Loges) and William Chester Springer.

Elsie attended Aguilar schools graduating in 1954.

She worked at the Amato Truck Stop for 20 years and then was employed as Aguilar Town Clerk until her retirement.

She  loved life, and enjoyed many things including music, singing, sewing,carpenter cooking and dancing.

A caring Mother and Grandma, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are parents, William and Bessie Springer, husband Jack Carpenter, brothers Charles, Harvey, Percy, Wilbur, and Kenneth Springer.

Survivors are children, Joseph (Terry) Smith, Aguilar, Chuck (Kathy) Smith, Trinidad, Becky (Jesus) Ramos, Aguilar, Bill (Kristie) Smith, Aguilar, grandchildren, Cara Jade, Christa Jo, Molly Rose, Veronica Maria, Jesse John, Sammi Jo, great grandchildren, Jayce, Chloe, Jaxon, Camron, Logan, Isaac, Marianna, Janelle, Janae, Jakob, Andrea and Alyssa, sisters Elva Springer, Raton,, NM, Edna (Tom) Jolly, Aguilar, brother Duane (Angelina) Springer, Brush CO, her extended family Wanda, Marlene and Dan, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral Services will  be held  Tuesday, January  19,  2016, at  10AM  Comi  Funeral Home  Chapel with  Pastor Don  Rehling  officiating.

Inurnment  will follow at  the Trinidad  Masonic Cemetery.

Immediately following the services, friends are invited to gather with the family  for a Potluck dinner at the Roughneck Saloon,  214 E. Main Aguilar, CO.
