In Loving Memory of Rosemary (Blan) Martinez

Rosemary (Blan) Martinez, age 56, died on Sunday, January 10, 2016 in Amarillo, Texas.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Assembly of God Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Pastor Randall Floyd officiating.

blan martinezRosemary (Blan) Martinez was born on June 27, 1959 in Clayton, New Mexico to Eloy Blan and Mary Armijo. She graduated from Clayton High School in 1978. Rosemary married Anthony David Martinez on August 16 1980 in Clayton, New Mexico and he preceded her in death on May 27, 1982. She moved to Amarillo where she worked as a server at a few different restaurants, before moving to Lubbock for a little while and then back to Amarillo. She had worked as a server at Fernando’s in Amarillo for the last seven years. Rosemary loved music and photography and played basketball and softball. Her family and friends were very important to her and she loved the holidays together with her family.

In addition to her husband, Rosemary was preceded in death by her mother, and by a brother, Alfonso I Cruz and Sienna, her cat.

SURVIVORS:

1 DAUGHTER: Teena Martinez and Eddie Fuentes of Clayton, New Mexico.

3 GRANDDAUGHTERS: Maddy Ervin, Madison Ervin and Lyndi Fuentes all of Clayton, New Mexico.

HER FATHER: Eloy Blan of Clayton, New Mexico.

2 SISTERS: Connie Blan of Clayton, New Mexico and Theresa Blan of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

3 BROTHERS: Eloy Blan, Jr. And Jesse Cruz both of Clayton, New Mexico and Domingo Padilla of Colorado.

HER PARTNER AND BEST FRIEND: Doug Kizarr of Amarillo, Texas.

Numerous Nieces and Nephews including; Tim Carwile and August Claycomb, Jennifer Blan, Derek Blan and Matthew Blan all of Clayton, New Mexico.

3 great-nieces and 4 great-nephews.
