Calvin Williams, age 80, died Monday, January 11, 2016 in Amarillo, Texas.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Hass Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 15, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Terrell Jones, pastor of the Clayton Trinity Fellowship Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico
Calvin Williams was born on December 25, 1935 in Matador, Texas to Carl Curtis Williams and Laura Jane (McCook) Williams. A lifelong resident of Union County, Calvin worked for the dairy farm for several years. He graduated from Clayton High School in 1954 and worked for the Highway department for a few years. Calvin then joined the US Army and served two years before returning to Clayton. Calvin married Isabel (Sinclair) Williams on June 13, 1964 in Clayton, New Mexico and she preceded him in death on May 2, 2010. Calvin and Isabel became ranchers and farmers in the Seneca area where they lived for several years. He always enjoyed going to the sale barn on Wednesdays and he enjoyed playing checkers and dominoes, reading and watching bull riding. In addition to his parents and wife, Calvin was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Gail Toney on June 27, 1987, a son-in-law, Justin Johns on January 23, 2007, a granddaughter, Geneva Coke on March 26, 2010, a sister, Doris Mock in February of 2008, a brother, Curtis Hess Williams in December of 2001 by 2 brothers-in-law, Bill Sinclair on March 24, 2002 and Fred Sinclair on June 16, 1994 and by a son-in-law, Tim Simpson on February 10, 2014.

3 DAUGHTERS: Debbie Palmer and her husband Randy of Easton, Kansas and Pam Simpson and Tiffany Johns both of Clayton, New Mexico.
2 SISTERS: Patsy Jones of Pueblo, Colorado and Maxine Smith of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
1 SISTER-IN-LAW: Julia Sinclair of Clayton, New Mexico.
10 GRANDCHILDREN: Krista Herrera, T. J. Simpson, Linda Johns, Kyley Johns and Chelcy Johns all of Clayton, New Mexico, Jason Fischer of Platte City, Missouri and Anthony Fischer, Ed Holmes, Eric Palmer and Amy Couch all of Kansas City, Kansas.
13 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Christopher Herrera, Jr., Calvin Fischer, Brittany Fischer, Dylan Fischer, A. J. Fischer, Audrey Fischer, Kennedy Fischer, Tori Fischer, Colton Coke, CrissAnn Coke, Reanna Palmer, Cory Couch and Annabelle Couch.
And Several nieces and nephews.
