Colfax County Commissioners Select Clerk

  Colfax County Commissioners met Tuesday, January 5th in special session to reorganize the commission and to pick a new county clerk.

In a short meeting commissioners kept their seatings with Commissioner Bill Sauble remaining as Chairman and Landon Newton keeping his position as Vice Chairman and Roy Fernandez as member.

With little discussion commissioners voted unanimously to keep Deputy Clerk Rebecca Hoy as the new clerk. Hoy will now select her deputy to fill that deputy clerk position. Hoy will serve out the remainder of Freda Baca’s term, which ends December 31, 2016.
