Zoe Ann Mattorano, passed away at home on December 4, 2015 after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Amarillo, TX, the daughter of Mary Kathryn (Hephner) and Ralph J. Brown.
She was a 1969 graduate of Raton High School.
On March 8, 1969, Zoe was united in marriage to Paul J . Mattorano at Holy Trinity Church in Trinidad, CO.
Together with her husband ,she helped in the family business , M&M Plumbing, as bookkeeper.
Zoe liked to tend to her flowers and enjoyed spending time watching the birds and cats outside. She liked watching games shows, making ceramics and caring for her dogs. At Christmas time, it was a tradition to make delicious fudge with her mother, and bake Christmas cookies with her mother-in-law. Zoe and her mother always loved to go shopping.
A loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Sister, Zoe will be missed by all those who were fortunate to have her in their lives.
She was preceded in death by parents, Mary Kathryn and Ralph J. Brown, infant son Shawn Paul Mattorano, sister Olivia Frakes, mother and father in law Ellen amd Angelo Mattorano.
Survivors are husband Paul of home address, son, P.J. (Deanna) Mattorano, Denver, daughter Jenna Mattorano, Pueblo, grandchildren, Dustyn Willie, and Tava Mattorano, who she and Paul raised, Adrianna Vialpando, Joshua Mattorano, Ryan Carsten, siblings Donna Powell, TX, Edythe Johnson, Raton, Carole (Dick) Romero, Raton, Albert Brown, NM, sisters and brothers in law, Pat (Vic) Sciacca, Co. Springs, Angelo (Jeannie)Mattorano, Aguilar, Marge Mattorano, Co. Springs, Tom Mattorano, Co. Springs, George (Susan) Mattorano, Penrose, Marie (Jay) Fink, Co. Springs, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, from 3PM-6PM at the Comi Chapel.
Rosary will be Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 7PM at Holy Trinity Church.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 1PM at Holy Trinity Church.
Cremation to follow and private inurnment.
