Bessie Vialpando, age 99 of Raton, passed away on Wednesday November 25, 2015 in Raton, NM. Bessie was born May 16, 1916 in Wagon Mound, NM, the daughter of Leandro Valdez and Josefita Maestas-Valdez. Bessie loved to sew, bake bread and cook.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Vialpando Sr. sons Raymond Vialpando Jr. and Victor Vialpando and infant daughter, Rebecca Vialpando.
Bessie is survived by daughters Connie Alarid and Husband Joe of Denver, CO. Beverly Bunker and companion, Rod of Pueblo, CO. Jackie Lopez and husband Rick of Raton. Sons, Ernest Vialpando of Raton, Filbert Vialpando and wife Virginia of Raton, Tony Vialpando and wife Renee of Butte MT, Arnold Vialpando and wife Sherrie of Wood River, NE. Sister, Amanda Valdez of San Antonio, TX, 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grand children.
Memorial services will be Saturday November 28, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel in Raton. Burial will be at the Fairmont Cemetery in Raton .
Arrangements and celebration of love for Bessie Vialpando are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
