Felix A. Ruiz, age 74, died Tuesday, November 17, 2015, in Amarillo, Texas.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 19, by Leroy Sanchez and Ray Maestas and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 20 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton with Fr. Joel Bugas as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
Felix A. Ruiz was born on August 1, 1941, in Guanajuato, Mexico, to Rufino Ruiz and Avarilia (Murillo) Ruiz. A long time resident of Clayton, Felix married Viola M. Vasquez on October 6, 1971 in Clayton. He worked at feedlots in the Clayton area for several years and later worked on Road Construction in Union County. He was preceded in death by 1 Son, Felix Ruiz, Jr., in 2004, and by his Father, Rufino Ruiz and a Brother, Juan Ruiz in 2015. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton.

Wife: Viola M. Ruiz of Clayton, NM.
2 Sons: Richard “Ricky” Maestas of Clayton, NM, and John Maestas and his wife Marie of Dumas, Texas.
3 Daughters: Mary Ann Rodriguez and her husband Ernesto of Amarillo, TX; Carolyn Valencia and her husband Amilio of Dumas, TX; and Irene Roybal and her husband Frank of Amarillo, TX.
A Daughter-in-law: Eunice Cano of Dumas, TX
His Mother: Avarilia Ruiz of Mexico
2 Sisters and 4 Brothers all of Mexico.
