In Memory of Henry Lee Trueba

Henry Lee Trueba age 65 passed away October 13, 2015 in Raton, NM. He was born May 14, 1950 the son of Manuel and Mildred Segotta Trueba. He was a longtime resident of Raton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ramon Trueba.

He is survived by his son Jerrod Lee Trueba and companion Natalee Horner of Las Cruces, NM, nephews Ramon Trueba and companion Carol Blaubach of Raton, NM and John Trueba of California, niece Kimberly Trujillo and husband Jeremy of Uma, Arizona, 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, great-nieces and nephews Britt, Azi, Jay, Ez, Morde, Tes and Karma.

Henry graduated from Raton High School class of 1969 where he played football for Coach Paolino and was known as the hardest hitting little guy on the team. He was also a top notch golf player and artist. Henry attended New Mexico Highland University where he played golf and then on to Trinidad State Junior College on an art scholarship where he made the Dean’s list in 1971.

candlesHenry enjoyed playing music as a young man in a local band and was known for his outgoing personality that he freely expressed through his clothing attire and artistic abilities. He enjoyed hotrods, fishing, golfing, playing his guitar, and spending time with his great-nieces and nephews. Henry was most known for his artwork that he displayed throughout the community of Raton and surrounding areas. His frequent drop-in visits to businesses and homes were the highlight of his days.

If you knew Henry, cars were his passion. Come join and celebrate his life by showing of your cars, trucks, hotrods and bikes in a convoy to his resting place. Henry’s presence will be missed in this community, but his spirit lives in all whom he had touched.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday October 24th at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Raton. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Funeral arrangements for Henry Lee Trueba are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home of Raton.
