Pete Barajas, age 91, passed away on October 14, 2015 at his home in Aguilar, CO.
He was born on March 14, 1924 in Delagua, CO, the son of Silveria (Garcia) and Jose Barajas.
Pete was the oldest of 11 brothers and 2 sisters.
He was a coal miner, working in several mines.
He loved hunting, fishing, camping, dancing, listening to Spanish music, and much, much more.
Preceding him in death are parents Silveria and Jose Barajas, brothers, Max, Rudy,Andrew, Freelin Barajas, sister Sally Alvarez, and Godfather ,Pedro Barajas.
Pete is survived by wife Victoria Barajas of Aguilar, sons Pete Barajas Jr.,of Trinidad, Jessie Barajas of Denver, Robert Barajas, and Greg Barajas, of Aguilar, daughters Donna Romero (Tony), Sylvia Barajas (John), Sonia Barajas, (Richard) all of Pueblo, Jackie (Jorge) Banderas, of Aguilar, stepson Manuel (Lorraine) Velasquez, and stepdaughter Tina (Al) Vigil both of Denver, sister Tilly Sanchez, of Denver, brothers, Frank (Sue) Barajas, Mike (Vivian) Barajas, Vince Barajas, Joe Barajas, all of Aguilar, Johnny(Tina) Barajas, Lino Barajas, all of Pueblo, brother in law Joe Alvarez, of Aguilar, Godmother Maria Barajas of Mexico, grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends.
At Pete’s request, cremation with no services.
