The Economic and Rural Development Committee of the New Mexico Legislature will hold its next official meeting in Raton on Monday and Tuesday, September 28th & 29th. These formal meetings begin at 9:00 am on Monday and at 9:30 am on Tuesday at the Historic Shuler Theater. There is a formal Public Comments* item on the agenda scheduled for Monday at 4:15 pm.
Mayor of Raton, Sandy Mantz, will present welcoming remarks on Monday morning. Brenda Ferri, Executive Director of Raton Arts and Cultural District, will be the first speaker on Great Blocks: Rural redevelopment – Public Infrastructure, followed by Diana M. Sanchez, President of Raton MainStreet and President of Great Blocks.
