Sally M. Armijo age 77, of Raton, passed away Monday September 14, 2015 in Fruita, Colorado. She was born June 9, 1938 in Las Vegas, New Mexico the daughter of Benjamin and Eva Quintana-Smith.
Sally was a home maker and a member of St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Armijo, sons Fred Armijo and Paul Smith, one grandson Fredrick Armijo, one brother and one sister.
She is survived by five daughters, Pauline Hillard and husband Alan of Fruita, CO, Corina Cortez and husband Frank of Rangely, CO, Celina Mascarenas and husband Jake of Grants, NM, Roberta Mondragon and husband Greg of Raton, NM, and Barbara Duran and husband John of Raton, NM. Two sons, Jerry Armijo and wife Mary Jo of Raton, NM, and Eddie Armijo and wife Monica of Raton, NM. Three sisters, Kathy Trujillo and husband Victor and Nancy Baros and husband George all of Santa Fe, NM, and Betty Harkin of Carlsbad, CA, One brother Franklin Smith and wife Peggy of Wildomar, CA. twenty six grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday September 20, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home in Raton.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Monday September 21, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Patrick-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church recited by The Legion of Mary, Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Father John Trambley as the celebrant, rite of christian will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Raton.
