Kay L. Grubelnik passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015. Kay was born February 15, 1942 in Summerfield, KS to Wayne and Opal Olmstead.
She was a graduate of Raton High School. After graduating she attended St. Mary Corwin School of Nursing and graduated in 1962. Kay worked in the nursing profession for 33 years in the Raton area and was Director of Nursing from 1986 thru 1996.
Kay married David Grubelnik on December 28, 1962. She was a loving wife and mother and will be dearly missed.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband David, parents Wayne and Opal Olmstead and brother Jim Olmstead. She is survived by 4 sons, 6 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will take place Wednesday September 16th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Trambley as the celebrant. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the MCMC Auxiliary on Kay’s behalf.
