Cameron David Blatnik born June 1, 1998 left us on September 12, 2015. Cameron is survived by his mother Dana Hutton-Veltri and husband Bill Bowie, father Henry Blatnik, brothers Chris, Alex, Brendon and Rodger. Sisters-in-law Teena, Ashley and Erika. Grandma Marlene, nieces and nephews Madson, Zoe, Constance, Hunter, Kyra and Tanner.
Cameron was a senior at Springer High School and always wore his favorite shorts to school. He lettered in football and track, was a state champion in the 1600 medley relay and played basketball. He loved his football team mates. He helped build the scepter which lines the streets from the school. His pattern for the shirts the football team will wear was his design.
He loved his Mustang and hated his Camaro. He was secretary of the Springer Explorers Police Department raising money.
Cameron loved the parades and was excited about homecoming this year. Cameron’s dream was to become a Calvary scout for the U.S. Army. We were so proud of you!!
He loved his cat Ava and dog Bandit, aunt and uncles, Carol and Leonard, Bill and Brandon, Eric, Daniel and Amber.
Memorial services will be Saturday September 19, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Herrera officiating.
In lieu of flowers or food, the family requests donations be made to the International Bank in Springer or Century Savings and Loan in Trinidad, CO.

I was one of Cameron’s teachers last year. My wife and I are very sad to hear of his passing.
I was Camerons Army Recruiter. He was a great young man. He would have made a fine soldier!
Cameron, I did not get to meet you, your Dad told me how special you were. He was so proud of you. I pray for your soul and for peace for your family.
