Keith H. McFarland, born May 10, 1921, Dayton, Ohio – – died August 28, 2015, Trinidad, Colorado.
Keith H. McFarland, having filled himself with life’s ventures for 94 years, has died. He is predeceased by his wife, Luella S. McFarland, with whom he was married from 1943 to her death in 2010. He is survived by his children Dr. Douglas M. McFarland (Pat McFarland), Devon A. (Pineda) McFarland, Karin L. Bozorgi, Steven S. McFarland (Maggie Amy) and Keith C. (KC) McFarland (Donna Moyer), eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law Donald and Mary McFarland of Dayton, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews, all his favorites.
The family gives special thanks to the Trinidad Inn Nursing Home and staff in all departments, who made the last several years of his life so comfortable and happy; Karen Malone, who helped guide him through his early days at Trinidad Inn Nursing Home and provided valuable professional services, Kara and Vernon Sanchez, who provided respite care when family was not available and support and friendship, his special resident friends at the Trinidad Inn Nursing Home, and his magnificent hospice team who made his last months joyful and some of the happiest of his life: Bobby, Christie, Christine (C.C.), and volunteers including Nancy Tibbetts Broce. Thank you to Mary Kitsy Winter and her team for fulfilling our father’s last wish.
