Thomas Mitchell Melvin, was taken upon the request of the Lord on August 27, 2015.
Thomas’ life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him, understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.
Thomas was born in Denver, CO, the second oldest of five, on June 28, 1985 to Lydia Esquibel and Thomas Melvin.
Those who knew him would say that he was the life of the party. He was a kind, loving and very humorous man. He enjoyed watching and playing sports, and spending time with his family. His sense of humor and smiles that found ways to brighten up rooms, will truly be missed.
Thomas was preceded in death by grandparents Geraldine and Eloy Martinez, uncles Filbert and Andrew Martinez, and cousin Alyssa Martinez.
Survivors include wife Nicole, son Roman, mother and step father Lydia and Francisco Esquibel, father Thomas Melvin, brothers and sisters, Candace Ortega, Filbert and Darlene Martinez, Crystal and Rueben Zamora Melvin, Daisy and Carlos Carrillo Esquibel and Valentin Esquibel. Also surviving are uncles and aunts, Gerald Martinez, Maryann(Daniel) Lopez, Margie (Jose) Mendoza, Mark (Melissa) Martinez, Eloy (Valerie) Martinez, Mark (Liz) Lyles, Gina Martinez, Shirley Paiz, nieces and nephews , Sierra, Hayley, Sarafina and Filbert Jr.
Visitation will be Friday, September 4, 2015 from 1PM-2PM , followed by the services at 2PM-3PM at the Romero Family Funeral Home located at 4750 Tejon St. Denver, CO, 80211. Immediately following the service, friends are invited to gather with the family in the hall, located at the same address.
Please note that a Rosary will be recited in Trinidad, CO. on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 7PM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
