Wayne Adam Abeyta, age 37, passed away unexpectedly at home in his sleep on August 12, 2015.
He was born August 21, 1977 to Mary Agnes (Jaques) and Harry Abeyta.
He attended Hoehne School and Trinidad High School graduating in 1996. He attended TSJC receiving training in Heavy Equipment. Wayne also was a Journeyman carpenter. Currently he was employed as a truck driver.
Wayne enjoyed spending every minute of his time in Trinidad with his daughter. Wayne and Madison enjoyed his new speedboat. He taught her how to shoot guns and rifles and to respect firearms. Together with friend Simon, Wayne spent many hours and bullets, target shooting and playing cards which he was very skilled at.
Wayne lived and worked in Texas but he missed home, the mountains and hunting and fishing with his dad and brother.
Preceding him in death are grandparents Tony and Ida (Gonzales) Abeyta, Esequel and Isabel (Bachicha) Jaques, aunt Mary Jo Jaques and cousin Colby Jaques.
Left to cherish his memory are parents Mary Agnes and Harry Abeyta, home address, his pride and joy, daughter Madison Abeyta, who he absolutely adored, sister Jennifer Abeyta (Jennifer Bell), Denver, CO, brother Jeremy(BreAnna) Abeyta, Trinidad, CO, nieces, Chevella (Goddaughter), Brodie, and nephew Antonio who he couldn’t get enough of.
He is also survived by aunts and uncles Joe (MaryAnn) Abeyta, Frank (Leann) Abeyta, Trinidad, CO, Margaret (Jose) Segura, Betty (Wayne) McClelland, Raton, NM, Annamae Guara, Pueblo, CO, Annabelle (Doug Bird), Charles Jaques, Tom (Hazel) Jacques, Albuquerque, NM, Fred (Angelina) Jaques, Edgewood, NM, Richard Jaques (Linda Shaw), Pueblo West, CO, and the mother and stepfather to Madison, Kim and Robert Schultz of Trinidad, CO, numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends also survive.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2PM-6PM at the Comi Chapel.
Rosary will be Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 7PM at Holy Trinity Church.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, August 21, 2015 at 10AM at Holy Trinity Church
Cremation to follow and private family inurnment at a later date.
Active pallbearers are Robert Schultz, Jacob Lamden, Simon Pachorek, John Mestas, Patrick Marquez and Brendon Marquez.
