(August 27, 1946 – July 19, 2015)
Lillian (Encinias) Rubidoux started her journey with the Lord on July 19, 2015 after her short battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She was born to Henry Encinias and Melecia Garza in Raton, New Mexico.
Lillian’s proudest accomplishments were her two sons, her grandchildren, and her nursing career. She started her nursing career at Rocky Mountain Planned Parenthood where from there, after 15 years, she was a RN for 30 plus years at Colorado Mental Health Institute. After her retirement from CMHI, she spent a few years giving shots for clinics before she spent her final years as a RN at Sharmar Village.
She is preceded in death by her father Henry Encinias, her mother Melecia Garza, and her niece Holly Ringo.
She is survived by her two sons Randy and Brian (Theresa) Rubidoux, her 10 siblings Gloria (Alfredo) Fernandez, Rocky Encinias, Eloy (Debbie) Encinias, Mike Encinias, Armando Encinias, Erlinda Encinias, Eugene (Cere) Encinias, Clorinda (Garry) Ringo, Wayne (Vanessa) Encinias, Margaret (Christopher) Barksdale, her 4 grandchildren Shawn, Brett, Andrew, Amanda, and her great-granddaughter Amila. She is also survived by a plethora of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Lillian will be remembered Saturday, August 29, 2015 at St. Joseph Church in Raton, NM with a 10 AM rosary and a 10:30 AM mass; interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lillian’s six brothers Rocky, Eloy, Mike, Armando, Gene, and Wayne. Immediately following the interment, family and friends are invited to gather at the Raton VFW. Many family, friends, and coworkers will forever miss her.
