Sadie B. Sanchez, age 86, passed away on July 27, 2015.
She was born in Trinidad, CO, on August 19, 1928 to Mary (Trujillo) Madrid) and Thomas Trujillo.
In 1948, she was united in marriage to Onesimo Sanchez at Holy Family church, in Hoehne, CO.
Sadie loved to play Bingo, travel to Cripple Creek and pitch horseshoes.
She held the record for Women’s State Champion Horseshoe Pitcher.
She was a member of St. John’s Catholic church in Hoehne and also was a former member of the Sociedad de Nuestra de Guadalupe Society.
She also enjoyed being with her coffee club friends at McDonald’s.
Preceding her in death are parents Mary and Thomas Trujillo, husband Oney Sanchez, daughter Cindy Barela, grandsons, George Roger Sanchez, Lonnie James Sanchez, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors are son George (Irene) Sanchez, Hoehne, CO, daughter, JoAnn (Shawn) Barrett, Trinidad, granddaughter, Sydnee (Mark) Camp, Midland, TX, grandsons, Lucas Abeyta, Nicholas (Shuree) Abeyta, of Trinidad, great grandchildren, C.J., J.R., Brittany, Brianna, Brooklynn, Cody, Mariah, Aiden, Devin, Lea, Ellie, great great grandchildren, Caden and Jaci, sister Helen Pacheco, Hoehne, CO., brother Tom (Gerrie) Trujillo, Raton, NM, sister in law Elsie Guevera, AZ, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3PM-7PM at the Comi Chapel.
Rosary will be Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 7PM at the Comi Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, July 31, 1015 at 10AM at Holy Trinity Church.
Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Mark Camp Sr., Mark Camp Jr., Lucas Abeyta, Nicholas Abeyta, Corey Camp and Cody Sanchez.
