Jacob D. Salas age 33, passed away in Raton, NM on July 24, 2015. Jacob was born in Raton, NM on March 28, 1982 to Juanita Medina and Jerry Salas.
Preceding him is death are his grandparents Toby Salas, Angie Salas, Joe Medina and Adelaida Medina.
He is survived by children Jeremiah, Syriah, Cameron, Kasey, Mia and Jacoby, mother Juanita Medina of Raton, NM, Father Jerry Salas of Pueblo, CO, sister Liz Medina of Pueblo, CO, brother Jerry Salas (Britainy) of Raton, NM, brother Daniel Salas of Pueblo, CO, sister Jackie Pasquale of Jacksonville, FL, nieces and nephews Alex, Tiona, Alyssa, Jerry Michael, Jr., Alonzo Jaylon and Anthony. Special people: girlfriend Cayla Phillips, godparents Theresa DeJoy (Anthony), and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends also survive.
He loved music, spending time with his family and children, fishing, hiking, boxing, cooking and fixing up bikes. Jacob a U.S. Army Veteran did two deployments to Iraq was loved by many fellow soldiers and served with loyalty, integrity and pride.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary with take place Monday August 3, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church recited by Deacon Thomas Alderette. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Trambley as the celebrant. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Funeral arrangements for Jacob D. Salas are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home of Raton.
