Erin Michelle Vigil went to live with her heavenly father on July, 21st. She was born June 9, 1987 in Trinidad, Colorado to Lacretia Cheryl Lewis Vigil Edwards and John Leroy Vigil.
Erin spent her childhood in Raton and Trinidad. She attended most of her youth in Raton and went to school in Maxwell where her grandmother taught for 31 years. She completed EMT training and her CNA certificate. Erin worked at A World of Discovery Learning Center in Trinidad as a teacher for many years. She worked as a CNA at Raton Nursing home as well as at Cummings Processing as a wrapper at the family business. Erin enjoyed family, painting, artwork, music, and writing beautiful pieces of poetry. She loved her family, friends, and loved life. She has a heart of gold and gave love to all. She had a smile that would always brighten up the room. She had an awesome attitude for life and always lived life to the fullest.
Erin is preceded in death by her grandparents: Toby and Angie Salas, Elton Leon Lewis, Fred Niccoli, uncle: Elton Craig Lewis, cousin: Christine Archuleta, and brother: Von Michael Vigil.
She is survived by parents Lacretia Cheryl Edwards (Ronald) of Trinidad, CO; John Leory Vigil (Jodie) of Burlington, CO; sisters: Chrissy Miera (Mark), and Gianna Vigil, brothers: Johnny Vigil and Dawson Vigil, grandmother: Joy Cummings, nephews and nieces: Ivy Vigil, Mark Miera, Jr., Albenita Vigil and Lavon Vigil.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 28th at 2:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with President Terhune presiding. Rite of Committal and Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Funeral arrangements for Erin Michelle Vigil are under the care and direction of the Alderette Pomeroy Funeral Home of Raton.
