In Loving Memory of Billy Leo Butt

Billy Leo Butt, 75, of Rio Rancho, passed from this life on July 13, 2015 after many health challenges.
 
He enjoyed life, loved to tease and put people at ease with his clever sense of humor and ability to write picturesque stories. Bill kept up with current events, historical facts, and trivia. He was a well known farmer/rancher in the Clayton area where he ran cattle, farmed the land, and participated in team roping as a hobby. 

Billy was born October 31, 1939 in Union County, to Leo L. and Abbie Butt. He and Joyce married in Clayton in 1963.

Bill is survived by his wife, daughter, Keri and husband Kenny Funk, two sons, Kyle (and Sara) and Kolin of Orlando FL. He is also survived by sons Ken Butt, his children, Riley and Abbie of Rio Rancho, NM; Brian Butt and wife Brandee, children, Blaine and Bailey of Littleton, Colorado. Bill is also survived by sisters Marilyn and Cletis Gillespie of Madison, KY; Ann and Jerry Swagerty of Clayton, NM; and brother-in-law, Taylor Stephenson of Floresville, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of in-laws and friends. 

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters, Caroline Butt, Jane Cowart and Phyllis Stephenson, one nephew, John Dee Cowart, and brother-in-law. 

Memorial Service will be held August 22, 2015 in Albuquerque at the Riverside Church of Christ at 11:00 A.M.
