The weather was sunny and warm as the crowds formed along First Street in Raton Saturday afternoon to watch the 4th of July parade put on by Raton MainStreet.
The parade route ran north along historic First Street as many of the crowd perused the local farmer’s market. Others lined the street as Grand Marshall’s for this year’s parade Bob and Kathy Harris and Fabie and Andy Solano rode by.
The parade culminated at Ripley Park where the music picked up and vendors peddled their goods. There was food and drink as well as other vendors with their Shetland Pony while others sold sold goods. Other vendors had kids fun as well as a selfie booth.
As the day wore on the crowds continued to enjoy and were finally wowed with a another great fireworks display put on by the Raton Fire and Emergency Services.
