Mary Carol Bowie, age 87, passed away June 26, 2015 at Mt. San Rafael Hospital.
She was born in Peonia, CO, on August 1, 1927 to Catherine (Oliver) and Jack Hailey.
On October 31, 1946. Carol was united in marriage to William K. Bowie in Boulder, CO. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
Carol loved to garden and caring for her indoor plants.She was a talented musician, playing the organ, piano, violin, flute, saxophone and the bagpipes.She served on the Las Animas County Planning Commission and was a member of PEO. She loved all animals especially her dog Jack.
Preceding her in death are parents, Catherine and Jack Hailey, and husband William Bowie.
Survivors are sons Bruce (Kathy) Bowie, Co. Springs, CO, Bill (Dana) Bowie, Trinidad, CO, daughter Kit Bowie, Co. Springs, CO, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sister in law Catherine Stokes, AZ, numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11AM at the Comi Chapel with Rev. Janet Rawlins officiating.
Private inurnment at a later date.
