In Loving Memory of Peter J. Laumbach, Jr

Peter J. Laumbach, Jr. age 91, a resident of Los Montoyas for the past 2 years and formerly of Mora County and Roy, NM passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at his home in Los Montoyas.

He was born on June 10, 1923 in La Cinta, New Mexico to Peter Joseph Laumbach and Fidelia Andrada Laumbach. He was a member of La Sociedad de San Antonio in Los Montoyas, NM and The National Trappers Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, he was a leather smith and enjoyed making boot and saddles.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Fidelia Laumbach; first wife and mother of his children: Guadalupe C. Laumbach; numerous: brothers and sisters, Peter was the youngest of seventeen siblings; great-granddaughter: Miranda Coca; mother-in-law: Margarita Montoya.

He is survived by his wife: Donilia Laumbach of Los Montoyas; sons and daughters: Leo Laumbach and wife Helen of Springer, NM; Fidelia Maes and husband Rouqe of Sandia Park, NM; Pete R. Laumbach and wife Joyce of Hope, NM; Greg Laumbach and wife Belinda of Rainsville, NM; Gloria Griego and husband Alex of Albuquerque, NM; Pablo Montoya and wife Addie, Dennis Esquibel and wife Cindy all of Las Vegas, NM; Carlos Montoya of Los Montoyas; twenty grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Casimiro Laumbach of Albuquerque, NM; Al Laumbach of Roy, NM; sisters-in-law: Emma Beck and husband Charles of Albuquerque, NM; Albertina Espinoza of Pueblo, CO; Chonita Robles and husband Tony of Anaheim, CA; brother-in-law: Alex Montoya of Los Montoyas; numerous: nieces, nephews, other relatives and many many friends.

Rosary services will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 7:00pm at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, NM; Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 10:00am also at Immaculate Conception Church with Father C. John Brasher as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Los Montoyas Cemetery with the following serving as Casket Bearers: Reuben Maes, Fidel Laumbach, Patrick Maes, Hank Laumbach, Greg M. Laumbach and Joshua Jaramillo. Serving as Honorary Bearers will be all his remaining grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 3:00pm-5:00pm at Rogers Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Alzheimers Association New Mexico Chapter 9500 Montgomery NE #121 Albuquerque, NM 87111.
