Joe E. Gonzales Sr. age 74 of Raton, passed away Thursday March 26, 2015 in Santa Fe, NM. He was born February 18, 1941 in Taos, NM, the son of Aaron and Alice Struck-Gonzales. He was a rancher and loved spending time with his animals.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Alfred and Donecio Gonzales and loving companion Margaret Grine.
He is survived by his daughters, Loretta Grillo (Alfred) of San Bernardino, CA, and Becky Moreno of Raton. Sons Eddie Gonzales Jr and (Carol) of Raton and Henry Gonzales (Ybarra) of Riverside, CA. sister Beatrice Chavez of Las Cruces, NM and brothers Gilbert Gonzales (Barbara) of Raton, Juan Gonzales (Patti) of Raton, Albert Gonzales (Theresa) of Farmington, NM, and Andy Martinez (Tina) of Monte Vista, CO. Grandchildren Amy Barker (Thomas) of Raton, Irene Diaz (Carlos) of Las Vegas, NV, Angela Grillo (Phillip) of San Bernardino, CA, and Efrain Moreno (Alisha) of Denver, CO, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday March 30, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home funeral services will be Tuesday March 31, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel, Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Raton.
