Cathy Lynn Terry
Age 59 went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2015 surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born to Carrie and Sam Terry on November 1, 1955 in Trinidad Colorado, her early years were spent with family and friends in Sopris, Colorado. The family moved to Trinidad in 1968, where Cathy then attended Trinidad High School graduating in 1973. She furthered her education by acquiring a BS in teaching at Adams State. She was very athletic and her love of sports continued throughout her life playing softball, caring for horses, and later becoming an avid golfer, known to win many a golf tournament.
Cathy was a loving daughter, mother, sister and aunt to 9 nieces and nephews, and 11 great nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Sam Terry, Sister Bernadette Popiel, and loving dog Felize.
Cathy is survived by her partner Kenny Bigham of Trinidad, daughter Heidi and son in law Chris Embry of Denver, CO. Mother Carrie Terry, and five siblings; Joe and Louise Terry of Trinidad, Gary Terry of Trinidad, Lois Mantelli of Albuquerque, Sam and Janette Terry of Denver, Marco Terry of Colorado Springs.
Nieces and Nephews include Gary (Lori) Terry, Cheryl (Jon) Robertson, Tony (Maria) Mantelli, Christie (James)Roybal, Luke Terry, Joe (Timi) Terry, Joshua (Laura) Terry, ReGina (Ben) Wilbor, and Matthew Terry.
Great nieces and nephews include Justin and Carrie Terry, Ricky and Dani Robertson, Dominic and GabriellaMantelli, Jacob Lubischer, Maiyah Roybal, Natalia Wilbor, Marli Terry, Lily and Alex Terry. Special Aunt Alice and Uncle BillAbshere of Raton New Mexico. And the many special family and friends through the years
Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 20, 2015 at 11AM at Holy Trinity Church. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
