On March 10, 2015, we lost out loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and great-great-great grandmother, Roma Febbraro.
Roma was born on March 27, 1918, in Rouse, CO, to Clelia and Antonio Dellavecchia.
Holidays will never be the same without Roma and her delicious ravioli, polenta, wine cookies, fig pinwheels and other foods. She was a perfectionist at anything she cooked, baked or actually did in life. She encouraged all to do the same. She also enjoyed embroidery work and she did volunteer work at the desk at Mt. San Rafael Hospital.
Roma enjoyed being with family, traveling to various places including Alaska, touring Europe, Nevada, California etc. She got her GED and took lessons in painting and piano.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Joseph Febbraro Sr., infant son Anthony, sister , Tillie ( John) Rigerozzi, an infant sister, brothers Raymond (Ruby) Dalrick, Pete (Evelyn) Dellavecchia, sisters and brothers in law, Patty Novara, Ann Salbato-Large, Lily (Tony) Frenchmore, Pete Sciacca, Jack Sciacca, Nick (Catherine) Febbraro, Charlie (Elsie) Febbraro, mother and father in law, Dominica and Ignacio Febbraro, son in law George Elmer Payne, grandsons Gregory Febbraro, David Payne, nephew and niece Ray and Angie Dalrick and niece Jo Ann Kruitz.
Roma is survived by children ,Minnie Payne, Joseph( Vivien) Febbraro, Roma Jo (Lawrence) Duran, sisters in law, Lena Sciacca, Angie Sciacca, brother-in-law Willard Large. Also surviving are special cousins from Australia, Silvano and Carole Venier, numerous other family members, Godchildren and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5PM-8PM at the Comi Chapel.
Funeral Services will be Monday,, March 16, 2015 with Rosary at 9AM at the Comi Chapel followed by the Funeral Mass at 10Am at Holy Trinity Church.
Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers are Christy Worley, Melissa and the other compassionate and caring staff of Sangre de Cristo Hospice, the kind and loving staff of the Trinidad Inn Nursing Home, and dear friend of the family, Charles Simpleman.
