Frances Louise “Lou” Marquez, age 71, died Tuesday, March 2, 2015, in Clayton, New Mexico.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Central Time on Friday March 6, 2015 at the Texline Baptist Church in Texline, Texas with Rev. Billy Rammage officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery in Clayton, New Mexico by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
Frances Louise “Lou” (Green) Marquez was born on June 12, 1944 in Lamar, Colorado to Gilford Lee Green and Letha Leona (Hughes) Green. She was raised in the Boise City and Keyes communities. Lou met Manuel Marquez while she was living in Keyes and they were married on May 12, 1962 in Clayton, New Mexico. They moved to Dalhart and later to Dumas before returning to Clayton in 2008. Lou was preceded in death by her parents, a son; Michael Marquez in 1982, two sisters; Carolyn Green and Jan Griggs and a brother; Tommy Green.

HUSBAND: Manuel Marquez of Clayton, New Mexico.
2 DAUGHTERS: Rhonda Thomas and her husband Danny and Regina Rice Marquez all of Dalhart, Texas.
1 SON: Randy Marquez of Dalhart, Texas.
2 SISTERS: Elsie McKnight of Trinidad, Colorado and Kay Reed of Maud, Oklahoma.
4 BROTHERS: Darrell Green of Clayton, New Mexico, Wayne Green and his wife Jean of Macomb, Oklahoma and David Green and Kenneth Green both of Shawnee, Oklahoma.
1 SISTER-IN-LAW: Becky Green of Texline, Texas.
5 grandchildren.
and numerous nieces and nephews.
