In Loving Memory of Robert G. “Bob” Makloski Jr.

Robert G. Makloski Jr. Passed away in Pueblo, CO on Sunday, March 1, 2015. He was 66.

 

Bob, the first of eight children, was introduced to the world by his proud parents, Robert G. Makloski Sr. amd Mary Evelyn “Dottie” Makloski, on May 7, 1948.

 

He attended Holy Trinity Grade School and graduated from Trinidad High School.  He continued his education at Trinidad State Jr. College and received two AA Degrees in Electronics and Computer Maintenance.

 

Upon graduation, he was employed at Lawrence Livermore Laboratories in California.  During his time in California, he was able to play golf, through the Laboratory at Pebble Beach and Spy Glass Golf Courses, among others.  He was able to share this ultimate golfer dream with his father Bob, by inviting him to play with him on these courses.

 

When he returned to Trinidad with his family, he worked the family ranch in Aguilar, helped in the family video business and retired from the Colfax County Jail as a guard.

 

He pursued his hobby of genealogy , tracing his family roots, which were so important to hm.  He took  great pride in sharing a new find with everyone.

 

He will best be remembered for his delicious fudge and candy apples that he made with his nieces and nephews. 

 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents. Robert and ”Dottie” Makloski, sister Patricia Farris, nephew Scott Lenzotti, and grandparents, Charles and Elizabeth Makloski  and James and Anna McIlwee.

 

He is survived by sons Brian (Rachel) Makloski, and Tory (Carrie) Makloski, grandchildren, Kayla, Taylor, Angel Jo, Bayley, Riley, Brady and Joey.  He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Kathy (Lou) Lenzotti, Dick Makloski, Debbie (John) Sartori, Ray (Nina) Makloski, Laurie Makloski, and Jamie (Dean) Ferraro as well as numerous nieces, and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, who brought him great joy.

 

He loved working with people and was happiest when he was surrounded by his family

 

Uncle Bob will be truly missed by his “Angels”.

 

Rosary will be Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 7PM at Comi Chapel.

 

Funeral Mass will be Monday, March 9, 2015 at 10AM at Holy Trinity Church.

 

Private inurnment will be held at a later date.
