LeRoy “Wedo” Maldonado age 68 of Raton passed away on Monday February 9, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born on December 13, 1946 to Miguel and Ofelia Mestas Maldonado in Raton.
Wedo is survived by his wife Linda Maldonado of the family home, daughter Tiffany Maldonado of Raton, sisters Eloisa Trujillo of Des Moines, NM, Bernice Sanchez of Raton, brothers Jim Maldonado (Lilian) of Raton, Victor Maldonado of Santa Fe, and Frank Maldonado (Nancy) of Raton, grandchildren Mark Lyn, Madazia, and Melijah Pacheco of Raton. Also surviving are numerous friends and family.
Wedo is preceded in death by one son Mark Maldonado, brothers Dave and Bobby Maldonado and in-laws Mary Rose and Lincoln Arguello.
A viewing will take place on Friday February 13, 2015 in the chapel of the Alderette Pomeroy Funeral Home from 2pm to 4pm. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Saturday February 14, 2015 at 11:30pm at the St. Patrick-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church followed by the Solemn Mass of the Resurrection at 12pm with Fr. John Trambley as celebrant and Fr. Daniel Balizan as co-celebrant. Rite of Committal and Interment to follow at the Fairmont Cemetery.
Arrangements for LeRoy “Wedo” Maldonado are under the care and direction of the Alderette Pomeroy Funeral Home.
