Jane Garcia age 82, of Cimarron, NM, passed away Saturday February 7, 2015 in Cimarron. She was born November 23, 1932 in Cimarron, NM, the daughter of Filiberto and Fedelina Vargas-Arellano. She was a book keeper for the Philmont Boy Scout Ranch for many years and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cimarron.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernest Garcia and son Robert Garcia. She is survived by her Daughter, Betty Pacheco and husband Gilbert of Cimarron, NM, three sisters Stella Chavira and husband Manuel of Denver, CO, Beatrice Payan and husband Raul of Albuquerque, NM, and Florence Cruz and husband Joe Jr. of Morenci, AZ, Two brothers, Frank Arellano and wife Mary of Newark, NJ, and Freddy Arellano and wife Diane of Bernallio. NM, Two granddaughters, Jennifer Perez and husband Freddy and Janelle Hammond and husband Troy all of Clovis, NM.Aunts, Rose Lankford of Houston, AR, June Martinez of Denver, CO, and Mary Lou Romero of Colorado Springs, CO. Great grandchildren, Bryce Perez, Drew Perez, Ayden Orrantia, Ashlyn Hammond and Austin Hammond. Sisters-in-law Beatrice Kaundart of Santa Fe, NM, Josie Gullickses of Calif., and Sadie Blea of Santa Fe, NM. An numerous nieces and nephews.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Wednesday February 11, 2015 at 9:30 A.M. at the Sister Hildegard Parish Hall in Cimarron recited by Art Duran Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:00 with Father John Brasher as the celebrant Rite of Christian burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Cimarron.
