Varsity Game
Raton struggled from the beginning in the varsity game as the boys had trouble trying to make the ball fall true. Centauri took the early lead and never looked back out scoring the Tigers 12 to five in the first quarter alone. The Raton defense performed fairly well but couldn’t stop the fast play of the Falcons. The Falcons also had a slight height advantage with most players being half a head taller than Raton.
Raton continued to struggle in the second half of the game as well simply not getting the shots to fall. The Falcons also kept the Tigers from shooting by stealing several passes as the boys just couldn’t get the ball moved around.
Once the final buzzer sounded the Tigers found themselves down 62-28.
Raton will host the Questa Wildcats and play for the cowbell Friday night in Tiger Gym.
