Evelyn Denise (Reid) Drumm, age 58, died Saturday, December 13, 2014, in Clayton, New Mexico.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Clayton Gospel Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Mike Phipps and Rev. Billy Rammage officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
Evelyn Denise (Reid) Drumm was born on February 25, 1956 in Amarillo, Texas to Rex Reid and Nellie Bernise (Bochman) Reid. She married Richard Edward Drumm on May 1, 1976 in Amarillo, Texas and he preceded her in death on February 29, 2012. Denise worked as a front line runner at Taco Villa for several years and then stayed home to take care of the kids. She later worked at Courtneys Fried Chicken and then at Union County General Hospital as the housekeeping supervisor doing housekeeping, dietary and laundry. Denise went to nursing school and graduated in 1989 and worked at BSA hospital in Amarillo and at the Texas Tech University Clements Unit for 7 ½ years before returning to Clayton where she worked at Union County General Hospital until 2008. Denise enjoyed nursing and she loved her grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Denise was preceded in death by 5 brothers and sisters; Mary Reid Koch, Donald Rex Reid, Tommy Ivan Reid, Ann Reid Stewart and Lanelle Reid and by a son; Mark Shane Drumm on May 30, 2007.
SURVIVORS:
1 DAUGHTER: Kimberly Drumm and Christa of Clayton, New Mexico.
3 SONS: OSCM (SW) Michael Drumm E9 and his wife Evelyn of Seattle, Washington, Justin Drumm and his wife Cassie of Clayton, New Mexico and Douglas Drumm of Amarillo, Texas.
9 GRANDCHILDREN: Brandon Drumm, Naomi Drumm, Kayla Drumm, Dakota Burns-Drumm, Sara Sumpter, Morgan Sumpter, Tyler Drumm, Brycen Drumm and Hayden Drumm.
2 SISTERS: Helen Johnson and her husband Malcolm of Arvada, Colorado and Wanda Sue Olson and her husband John of Blue Spring, Kansas.
2 BROTHERS-IN-LAW: Ray Koch of Woodlands, Texas and Mel Stewart of Bull City, Arizona.
And many nieces and nephews.
