William Wayne Gonzales age 44 of Taos, NM passed away on November 28, 2014 in Raton. He was born on June 3, 1970 in Raton, NM to Pearl Ford and Frank Gonzales.
Wayne worked for Super Save as a manager in Espanola and Taos for 20 years, as a correctional officer in the Springer Boys School and as a Lieutenant at the Juvenile Detention Center in Taos. He was a good father and would do anything for his children. He will be missed by all of his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Frank.
Wayne is survived by his wife Beverly Gonzales of Taos, three children, daughters: Shannon Encinias and husband Johnny of North Folk, Virginia; Mercedas Gonzales of Taos, NM; and son: Michael Gonzales also of Taos, NM; his granddaughter “the love of his life” Hope Encinias; mother: Pearl Ford and Husband Filbert of Raton; brothers: Filbert Ford and wife Peaches of Raton; Eric Gonzales and wife Ruth Ann of Albuquerque, NM; Shane Gonzales of Denver, CO; sister: Judy Ford of Denver, CO; grandparents: Charlotte and Ignacio Martinez of Raton. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins and friends also survive.
A memorial service for Wayne will be held on Friday December 5th at 11am in the chapel of the Alderette Pomeroy Funeral Home.
Family and friends are invited to the VFW (106 Park Avenue, Raton) immediately following the memorial service.
