Christine M. Yates-Butero, age 97, passed away peacefully at home on November 22, 2014.
She was born in Larkhall Lanark, Scotland, on September 6, 1917 to Christina (McIntosh) and Duncan Stewart. On December 24, 1935, Christine was united in marriage to James Yates, in Green River, Wyoming.
Christine owned and operated Christine’s Beauty Shop for 50 years until her retirement. She remarried on August 29, 1984, to Paul Butero. Together they loved to travel.
Christine was a member of Sayre Senior Citizens Center, where she attended daily for the past 15 years.
Preceding her in death are husband James Yates, son James Yates and second husband Paul Butero.
She is survived by son John (Sharon) Yates, Trinidad, daughter Kathy (Dennis) Letasy, Canada, grandchildren, Tara (Dan) Davis, Grady Yates, Cami(Dennis) Reghenas, Ryan Letasy, great grandchildren, K.J. , Jacob and Trey Christofferson, Harlee Reghenas, sister Janet McKeown, Trinidad, sister in law, Charlette Stewart, WY., numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, from 2PM-7PM at the Comi Chapel. Funeral will be Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11AM at First Christian Church with Bill Glidden officiating. Interment will follow at the Trinidad Masonic Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Ryan Letasy, Dennis Reghenas, Tom McKeown, Fred Sanchez Sr., Fred Sanchez Jr., and John Medina.
