Angelo Pascetti, aged 93, passed away on November 12, 2014, in Raton, New Mexico. He was born in Dawson, New Mexico on May 21, 1921 to Giovanni and Angelina Cagalini Pascetti. He graduated from Dawson High School and enlisted in the Army. He served two tours before being honorably discharged in 1949. He spent time in Germany during World War II where he met the love of his life, Margit Kuhner, whom he married on January 27, 1949.
Upon his discharge he went to Albuquerque where he worked at a lumberyard. He then moved to Wyoming to join his brother, Jack, to work in a coal mine. Those mines closed so they moved to Leadville in 1954 to work at Climax Mine until his retirement in 1984. He lived in Leadville until 2007 when he moved to Billings, Montana, to live with one of his daughters. When his health deteriorated, he moved to the Miners Colfax Nursing Home in Raton, New Mexico, where he resided until his death.
He enjoyed his family and hunting and fishing in the mountains of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister and four brothers. He is survived by his daughters, Angelica Osborne (Tom), Roxana Montano (Rick Marchwick), his son, Gerald (Connie), 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew him.
