RD Moneyhun, age 89, passed away November 11, 2014 at Parkview Medical Center after a short illness
He was born in McVeigh, Kentucky on July 29, 1925 to Luda (McCurry) and Reece D. Moneyhun. RD was employed as an accountant for Cessna Aircraft Company for 35 years until his retirement.
RD loved flying as he was a pilot. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He liked to hunt pheasant and dove.He proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corp.
Preceding him in death are parents, Luda and Reece Moneyhun, wife Alleyne Moneyhun, two infant daughters, Lyn and Tammy, son Terry Moneyhun, sisters Flora (Doc) Short and Bonnie (Wallace) Loftis mother and father in law, Mabel and Frank Fisher, brothers and sisters in law, Frank and Marilyn Fisher, Jean and Pappy Galloup, Ray Grantz, and nephew Don Grantz.
Survivors are daughter Kelly (Kevin) Cortez, Trinidad, CO, grandchildren, Blair Hewitt, Chase Cortez, Kamre Cortez, sister Pat (Red) DeLeon, , daughter in law, Katie Moneyhun, nieces and nephews Jan (Jack) Dumcum, Nancy Loftis Balckburn, Scott (Colette) DeLeon, Shelly (Marina) Loftis and friends.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 4PM at the Comi Chapel. Inurnment will follow at a later date.
