S A Bennett, age 77, died Saturday, November 1, 2014 in Clayton, New Mexico.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the Church of Christ in Clayton, New Mexico with Clay Lobley officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
S A Bennett was born on July 1, 1937 in Springer, New Mexico to Arthur Bennett and Vivan Elizabeth (Shaw) Bennett. He attended school in Gladstone and graduated from Farley High School before attending New Mexico Highlands University. S. A. worked most of his life as a rancher and also worked for the highway department as well as working as a backhoe operator and cattle transporter. He enjoyed working with wood and building custom wood furniture and gardening. S A married Shirley Ann Lacy on November 18, 1995 at the Clayton Church of Christ where they were both members. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Pauline Martin, brothers; Eddie Krizan, Milan Krizan and John Wayne Krizan, step-son; Bennie Featherston and a step-granddaughter; Hailey Ann Dismore.

WIFE: Shirley Bennett of Clayton, New Mexico.
STEP-DAUGHTER: Jeanie Dismore and her husband Steve of Brighton, Tennessee.
STEP-DAUGHTER-IN-LAW: Diane Featherstone of Brighton, Tennessee.
7 GRANDCHILDREN: Griffin, Lacy Ann, Lynzie, Jacob, Bennie, Logan and Zach.
SISTER: Elizabeth Plotner and her husband Skeeter of Raton, New Mexico.
2 SISTERS-IN-LAW: Pam Krizan of Raton, New Mexico and Madie Krizan of Clovis, New Mexico.
BROTHER-IN-LAW: Joe Martin of Sahuarita, Arizona.
MEMORIALS: The family suggests that memorials be made to the Clayton Church of Christ in S A Bennett’s memory.
