Dennis R. Sanchez age 65, of Raton, NM, passed away Saturday October 11, 2014 in Raton. He was born October 16, 1948 in Belen, NM, the son of Fidel and Valentina Sanchez. Dennis was a retired engineer for the railroad, a Veteran of the New Mexico National Guard, a member of St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton and a member of the Knights of Columbus Coronado Council 1332 in Raton.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Frances and brother-in-law Johnny Joseph Serazio. He is survived by his daughter Amanda (Mandy) Sanchez and son Jonathan Sanchez, and daughter-in-law Mary Rose all of Albuquerque, NM, one sister Josephine Sanchez of Belen, NM, brother Jerry Sanchez of Belen, NM and one grand daughter Shilah Sanchez of Albuquerque, NM, brother-in-law Bill Serazio and wife Carla, Jim Serazio and wife Emy, Chris Serazio and wife Johnette and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Saturday October 25. 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton recited by Frank Cimino Jr. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Father Stephen Hickman as the celebrant, rite of Christian burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request food be taken to the parish hall to help with the reception to be held after the service.
