Marilyn Kay (Littrell) Thompson was born on December 3, 1934 in Beaver, Oklahoma to Othal (Ose) and Marie Littrell, and passed away October 11, 2014 at St. Mary Corwin Hospital in Pueblo Colorado. She married BJ (Bo) Thompson in 1957; they were married for 45 years before he passed away 2002.
She was a long time resident of Folsom, New Mexico. She was a loving wife and mother, she was a homemaker and loved the outdoors. She loved to garden, hunt arrowheads, and go with her husband as he took care of the ranch and cattle. She also became interested in family history. In 1986 she began to work in the Folsom Museum and was associated with the museum until her death.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, parents, favorite aunt, favorite uncle, sister, and
Brother-in-law.
She is survived by a son, Gaylon Thompson of Folsom, daughters Linda Jo Behrendsen (Steve) of
Folsom and Debora Sue Hronich (Albert) of Cimarron, NM. Three grand children, Joseph Hronich, Crystal Felix (Michael), Brandon Hronich. Six great grandaughters, Michelle, Rebekah, Jessica, Desiray, Maddison and Samantha. A sister Vinita Brown, a brother DeWayne Littrell sister-in-law Dorthy Thompson-Smoker and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P. M at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 17, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Des Moines, N.M. Burial will be in the Folsom Cemetery.
