Clare Emily Wood, age 17, died Sunday, August 10, 2014.
Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM on Fri, August 15, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 16, at Yellow Jacket Gymnasium with Fr. Joel Bugas, Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
Clare Emily Wood was born on October 7, 1996 in Amarillo, Texas to Chip Wood and Sammie (Britt) Wood. Clare attended school in Clayton and she was involved in Clayton High School volleyball, FFA and Cheer and was a member of the National Honor Society. Clare loved her friends and she loved to dance. She always looked forward to the Homecoming week activities and dressing up. Clare was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton.
