Barbara Jean Morrow age 80 of Raton passed away peacefully on July 5, 2014, in her home in Raton. She was born on December 24, 1933 to Frances and Dwight Sever in Denver, CO.
Our momma devoted her life to God and her family. She touched many lives during her career as a nurse and dietary supervisor at Miner’s Hospital. She was devoted to the Legion of Mary and an active memory of St. Patrick’s – St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She took such pride and joy in her home, garden, family and beloved friends. She will always be in our hearts and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frances and Dwight Sever; sisters Shirley Sever, Laura Sepich and Sharon Gum; husband and love of her life, Frank Morrow; daughter Cheryl Ann Morrow; and grandson Denny Pat Morrow. She is survived by her children, Dennis Morrow and his wife Dianne, of Port Orchard, WA, David Morrow and his wife Pauline, of Castle Rock, CO, Janice Young and her husband Tony, of Amarillo, TX, Valerie Pino and her husband Tom, of Albuquerque, NM, Barbie Graves and her husband Ray, of Wichita Falls, TX; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister Naomi Kenny and her husband Alan of Raton; and numerous friends and family who love her dearly and will miss her.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at St. Patrick’s – St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton. The funeral mass will be held at 9:30am on July 11, 2014, at St. Patrick’s – St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Reception to follow at the parish hall. Barbara’s final resting place will be in Bremerton, WA, with her beloved husband.
