Mildred Mae Demchek age 81 went on her final journey on Tuesday June 10, 2014. She was born December 29, 1932 in Maxwell, NM, the daughter of Charles A. and Devada Waddle-Layton. She was a cook at the Miners’ Colfax Medical Center for 17 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Gomer, Jesse, William, John and Cliffton, sistersMarie, Lillian, Martha and Dolly, daughters, Judy Marie and Sally Jean. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years John L. Demchek of Raton, daughters, Anna Wilson and husband Sonny of Ponca City, OK., Barbara Garcia and companion Mike Hendrix of Hatch, NM, and Marilyn Withers of Raton. Sons, Robert Goosey of Raton, Charles Goosey and wife Elsie of Ponca City, OK., Richard Goosey and wife Sally ofArkansas City, KS., and Dominic Demchek and Fiancé Nisha of Texline, TX. Numerous grand and great grandchildren that she loved so very much . Last but not least all of her friends that touched her life. May she go in eternal peace, we will love and miss her.
Memorial services will be Friday June 13, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel.
