Marilyn F. Coppy age 74, of Raton, passed away Thursday April 10, 2014 in Raton. She was born March 14, 1940 in Springer, NM, the daughter of John W. and Era Carpenter-Floyd. Marilyn was a registered nurse.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Anton Coppy, infant son John, son frank and brother David Floyd. She is survived by three daughters, Frances Kampsky and husband Greg of Santa Fe, NM, Mary Stephenson and husband Scot of Grovespring, MO, and Connie Garrison and husband Carr of Devine, TX. Three sisters, Jeannie Burton and husband Frank of Springer, NM, Nancy Hatcher and husband Bill of Springer, NM, and Patsy Christensen of Green River, WY. Two sisters-in-law Shirley Coppy of Albuquerque, NM, and Alandra Floyd of Raton. Three brothers, Fred Floyd and wife Carol of Raton, NM, Wesley Floyd and wife Debbie of Gladstone, NM, and Otis Floyd and wife Dixie of Raton, NM. Ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be Tuesday April 15, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Elizabethtown Cemetery at International State Bank, The Johnson Mesa Church Fund, or the American Diabetes Foundation.
