Nicky L. Tarufelli age 82 went to be with the Lord on Monday March 24, 2014. He was born on April 13th 1931 to Atilio and Adela Tarufelli. He was a US Army veteran. He served in Korea with his brother Pete. Nicky had a heart of gold. He liked to joke with everyone. He loved his fishing, playing the guitar and harmonica, playing cards and dominos. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Lucia, 2 brothers Johnny and Louis, 4 sisters Lola Guitierrez, Tina Petersen, Emily Schirra, and Amelia Martinez,
Nicky is survived by his wife Clara Tarufelli of the family home, son Nicky Tarufelli and wife Susie, daughter Debbie Darras and husband Leonard all of Raton, two grandson Johnny Tarufelli, Jordan Darras, four granddaughters Carolina and Graciela of Oklahoma, Estrella and Estefanie of Las Cruces, 16 great grandchildren, one brother Pete Tarufelli and wife Hope of Raton, one sister Della Faye and husband Leroy Wetsel of Clayton, and two sister-in-laws Ester Lucero and Jennie Lopez and husband Rufino.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Friday March 28, 2014 at 9:30am recited by Deacon Thomas Alderette followed by the Solemn Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00am with Father John Trambley as the celebrant. Rite of committal and interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Arrangement for Nicky L. Tarufelli are under the care and direction of the Alderette Pomeroy Funeral Home of Raton.
