Eddie E. Strock age 78, of Raton, NM, passed away Sunday February 9, 2014 in Raton. Eddie was born May 7, 1935 in Teraio, CO, the son of Joe L. and Emma Vigil-Strock. He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Navy, and a member of the U.M.W. A. He was a Coal Miner for over twenty years and worked as a chef at Vermejo Park for over twenty years. Eddie loved nature and rocky mountain animals, loved hunting and fishing, Gardening, trips to cripple creek and enjoyed a beer with his friends.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, He is survived by three brothers, Ernest Strock, Fermin Strock, and Rudy Strock all of Colorado Springs, CO. Three sisters Bertha Padilla of Pueblo, CO., Elvera Strock of Colorado Springs, CO., and Eileen Strock of Denver, CO.
By request of the family cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be at a later date.
Arrangements for Eddie E. Strock are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
