Juanita Sanchez age 76 of Raton went home to her father in heaven on December 27, 2013. She was born on May 6, 1937 in Santa Barbara, New Mexico to Jose and Ofelia Sanchez. Juanita was the wife of Antonio Sanchez and Grandmother of Johnny Ray Garcia.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Juan, Cirilio, Joacoba, Severana, Eloyda, Milton, Joe, Orlanda, and grandson Johnny Ray Garcia. She is survived by her loving children Marion and wife Cindy, Juanita “Kiki” and husband Johnny, Bertha and husband Bill, Antonio, Patsy and Husband Matthew, Louise and Fiancé Rudy, Alice and husband Jerry, David “Gordy”, Zeke and wife Becky, one sister Claudia Sanchez, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be on Thursday January 2, 2013 at 10:30am recited by the Legion of Mary at the St. Patrick’s/ St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Solemn Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 11:00am with Father John Trambley as the Celebrant. Rite of Committal and Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
