Kenneth J. Stohr age 90, of Raton, NM., passed away Monday December 16, 2013 in Raton. He was born January 19, 1923 in Dodge City, KS. the son of Joseph and Kathryn McDonald-Stohr. Kenneth was a carpenter and contractor. He was a member of the St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph Catholic Church and a fourth degree Knight with the Knight of Columbus Coronado Council 1332 in Raton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one son. He is survived by three daughters, Kay Banks and husband Jerry of Colorado Springs, CO, Jean Bissett of Colorado Springs, CO, and Rosemary Stohr of Tucson, AZ. Two sons Ken Stohr and wife Kathy of Centerville, VA, and John Stohr and wife Cindy of San Diego, CA. One sister Margaret Stohr of Raton, NM. nine grandchildren, Ryan Bissett, Nicole Zaug, Kelli Tom, Monica Bissett, Leah, Amy, Jeffery, Jessica and Michael Stohr.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Saturday December 21, 2013 at 11:30 A.M. at the St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton recited by the Knights of Columbus. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 12:00 Noon with Father John Trambley as the celebrant. Rite of Christian Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Raton.
