In Memory of Thomas Sedillo Sr

Thomas Sedillo, Sr. age 53 of Miami, New Mexico passed away December 12, 2013, at home, after a long illness.

Thomas was born March 7, 1960 in Raton, the son of Dan Sedillo, Jr. and Lucy F. Trujillo, the 2nd of seven children.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and son Thomas Sedillo, Jr.

He is survived by fiancée Amy Leavitt, parents Dan Sedillo, Jr. and Lucy F. Trujillo; daughter Tanya and stepchildren Greg Leavitt, Melony Avila and 11 grandchildren; sisters Mona Mico, Amy Sedillo and Lisa Balizan and husband Chris; brothers Phillip and wife Martha, Martin and wife Lorri and Michael and wife Marie. Also many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Thomas grew up in Albuquerque, Las Vegas and Cimarron. He was a member of the NM National Guard for 19 years, and was an automotive mechanic by trade.

He was a most pleasant and personable individual, and will be sadly missed.

A memorial service is planned at a later date. Funeral arrangements for Thomas Sedillo, Sr. are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home of Raton.
